April Already!

Can you believe it? Three months of the year is already gone and we are going in to the month of April. It's been raining for days and everything is saturated. I think as soon as we get some beautiful days with some sunshine, our market will soar and inventory will start to diminish. Once inventory gets absorbed we'll get back to a more even market for buyers and sellers providing a fair market with favorable conditions.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

It's hard to believe March is nearly over and we're heading into the month of April. Hopefully, April will bring some warm weather and sunshine and lack the usual rain since we're already drenched! Market activity is picking up and buyers are ready to purchase real estate. Now is a great time to buy, too! Interest rates are staying low and there is so much inventory on the market. What we don't see is a lot of troubled sellers just giving away their properties. Values are steady and although it's definitely a buyer's market, all parties are being treated fairly in our local market.

Our first quarter was the best in Choice Realty's history! We feel very blessed to have a referral-based clientele. We also believe our excellent sales is a direct result of continuing to work hard for our clients and keeping the market as active as we possibly can. Sure, we have some listings that aren't seeing high traffic but it's just a matter of time when those listings will sell. I believe all listings will sell as long as they are priced right and in good condition, but mostly when the timing is right!

It's time for the Spring market!!

It's finally here. Spring Break is over and Spring is right around the corner. The real estate market is picking up and we are definitely seeing new activity, new listings, and even better interest rates! If you are in a lease thru July like many renters are, now is the time to start shopping for a home/townhouse. It takes 30 to 60 days to find a place then 30 days to close so July/August will be here before we know it! If you have a house to sell, hurry up with the repairs and staging and get it listed within the next couple of weeks or you might miss the best presence. The sun is shining and winter is almost behind us!

We're having an early Spring Break this year and the town is fairly quiet, but just wait for a couple of weeks....we'll be ready for spring weather and with spring weather brings busy real estate activity! Our 1st quarter has been excellent (despite all the negative reports we here about the market) so we are anticipating a great 2nd quarter, too!

We were excited to be a part of the House to Home show on WGCL am1370 this past weekend. Nancy Baldwin of the Monroe County Building Association interviewed me about staging and selling a house. You can hear the show by logging on to our website and clicking on the podcast link.

Rates are low and seem to be steady so if you're thinking of buying, it's a great time to do so. With all of the inventory on the market, you should have many options from which to choose! If you're thinking of selling, the annual appreciation may not be as spectacular as we've seen in past years, but it's still a good market and there are buyers out there buying!
